The project is located in a hollow tooth in Grenoble’s old district. The program includes a shop for an antique dealer, a home for a single person, a housing for a retired couple and a housing for a couple with two children.
The main project idea was to clear the surface of an old adjacent wall to make visible to visitors traces from the past (a former building now disappeared, traces of the walls, foundations and consolidations of the adjacent building) . The building is divided into two parts, a concrete part with the program served by the second part, the stairway built in steel and glass. Inside the housing is developed on the same principle.
Le projet se situe dans une dent creuse dans le quartier des antiquaires à Grenoble. Le programme imposé comporte une boutique pour un antiquaire, un logement pour un célibataire, un logement pour un couple de retraités et un logement pour un couple avec deux enfants. L’idée maitresse du projet a été de dégager la surface d’un mur adjacent pour rendre visible aux visiteurs des traces du passé (un ancien appenti désormais disparu, trace d’usure du mur, les fondations et consolidations de l’immeuble adjacent). L’immeuble est divisé en deux parties, une en béton regroupant le programme servi par l’escalier construit en acier et verre. L’intérieur des logements se développe sur le même principe.
